The 8" machines are such good value at Machine Mart (around £35 or better if bought on a 'VAT free' day) that it is well worth buying two.
Leave one with the Coarse and Fine Carborundum wheels fitted. On the other, fit a wire brush and a Green Tungsten wheel. You'll end up with a spare of each type of Carborundum wheel for the future and will never have to mess about swapping and truing up wheels for different jobs.
Dressing Diamonds are also cheap these days (from £5 at M.E. shows) and it pays to keep one of those close to hand.
Notice the bowl of 'dip' coolant - These have an annoying habit of travelling around the bench when the grinder is running, eventually falling off. This drives me nuts!
The cure is to attach another (larger) container to the bench. Place the coolant container inside it. No matter how much vibration there is, the container cannot 'walk' far!
The coolant container cannot move around and is easy to remove and refill.
